Hello Blog Readers!
My name is Ryan Blake and today on the summer immersion trip to Camden New Jersey I did service at the Abigail House, a nursing home, with four other residents of the Romero Center. The people we met were incredibly friendly and welcoming. One woman that stood out to me was named Helen, who was a resident at the Abigail House. Helen was an inspiration because of the way she aproached each of us; disregarding that we were complete strangers. Introducing herself first, and then asking each of our names. Each time we would walk by her, Helen would greet us with a huge smile stretching across her face. It was an amazing experience, one I will not soon forget. I cannot wait to see what tomorrow brings.
